Huntington Beach, CA – Coming into the last race, Heidi Steele’s Camburg equipped Ford Ranger wins this year’s SCORE Baja 1000 in Class 6 and in doing so gave her the Class Championship for 2009.
Winning SCORE & BITD Championships in 2008 and being awarded Dirt Sports Driver of the Year, Heidi stepped into SCORE’s new 6 Unlimited Class for 2009. With a 1st place finish at the opening Laughlin race, a 3rd place finish at San Felipe, and a 2nd place finish at the Baja 500, it was no surprise to see her and her team so successful at the 1000. Expect to see great things from Heidi and her team in 2010 as she defends her title.
Heidi’s Ford Ranger is outfitted with an array of Camburg’s off the shelf suspension and racing products. In the front, the truck is setup with Camburg un-equal 4.5 custom I-beams, heim radius arms and fabricated race spindles that utilize Camburg 2.0 series race hubs cycling 19” of wheel travel. In the rear the truck has the Camburg 3-link kit and Camburg 2.25 series race hubs cycling 24” of wheel travel.
